Our story
Mark Maskell Building & Renovations is a family business based in Huntly, serving the wider Waikato. Mark has been building for 40 years, and since setting up the business over eight years ago the work has come almost entirely through word of mouth, one happy customer passing our name to the next.
What sets us apart is that we are qualified in both building and landscaping, and LBP (Licensed Building Practitioner) certified. A lot of companies do one or the other. We do both, which means we can take on any job around the property, from a bathroom renovation to a retaining wall to the driveway and the planting around it, all with one team and one point of contact.
We also run our own earthmoving gear, so the groundwork that most jobs start with stays in-house rather than being sub-contracted out. It keeps the quote honest and the schedule tight. For plumbing, electrical and the other trades, we have close working relationships with trusted local contractors. If you have a plumber or electrician you prefer, we are more than happy to work in with them.
We are a trusted contractor for Genesis at the Huntly Power Station, and we take the same care on a family home as we do on a commercial site.
